Default Lucid Rear Speaker question...

Hey all,

I am looking at ordering one of the Lucid rear speaker kits. Do they come in a pair, or is it jsut one when you order them? It almost seems to inexpensive for them to sell 2 speakers and 2 pannels for $150!

Also, I know there is sorta a FAQ over there on how to install but has anyone else installed a pair? If so which ones and how does it sound now? My only dislike of the design of this car is the fact that you cant hear the radio worth crap (like everyone says).

You get a pair for the price. I installed mine a few years ago on my '01 and found it to be a very worthwhile upgrade. I could still use more power from the stock head unit but what the hey.

The directions that come with the kit should be available on the Lucid web site, too. They were very easy to follow and quite clear when I did mine...

I agree. I installed them. The directions are very clear, both for installing and not scratching anything up. I had the Kenwoods and was very happy with them. The wiring harness makes it very easy, but cost $50, i think

Do not forget to tape off your console!! It will be scratched up if you do not. Also, make sure the antenna cable it snug before reinstalling the head unit.

It is a 90 minute install and pretty easy.

I didn't tape anything and had no problems. Obviously, it could have been dumb luck...

i have the kenwoods and they are great, much better than stock, although the stereo still sort of sucks...at least the sound is better.

i purhased the wiring harness and that worked as a plug and play...the hard part was removal of the radio door and reinstallation...works easier if you remove the console cover first. entire job takes less than 2 hours...mostly due to hiding the wires and reinstallation of the radio...but it all works well and is plug and play.
