Default Magnaflow Cat-back

Hey people-

I was looking at the dual exit Magnaflow exhaust. Does anyone else have this installed? What does it look like? Sound? Compared to Comptech?

Any feedback on this exhaust would be appreciated.

Nevermind.....I just contacted Magnaflow and this exhaust is in pre-production and will not be in production for another 2-3 months.

Still, people might want to see what this one looks like before purchasing an $1100 Comptech exhaust. I was told by the Magnaflow tech that the tips look almost identical to the ones on the Comptech, and this one is like $300 cheaper.

I am going to wait til this one comes out (so I can see how the tips sit on the car) before I make my exhaust purchase.

If anyone sees any photos of this exhaust within the next 2-3 months, please post them here.

Spugen uses the magnaflo mufflers.... check out their site.... priced OK

I went to Magnaflo here is So Cal .... yesterday and my contact said

"there is a Ti system in the works..... months away (6-8 months)... and the honda stock system works well.... past syst only gain 1-2 hp... and other systs like Covettte and Trucks are in MAJOR demand.... Impost market is little demand"

If you are looking for Magnaflo sys look into Spugen
Keep in mind if you are here in Calif and go LOUD.... you will have a greater chance of getting sited from the police....

27151.... the police can write a ticket and you will have to prove you are with in the law of 95db or less than... and its a $125 fine if you are not leagal

and I beat SIIK03 to the post.... ...

The spugen dual oval exhuast uses magnaflow mufflers and resonator, not sure about their other exhuasts though. I just picked one up the other day and I actually like the sound of it. Nice deep sound when accelerating, but when you are cruising you can barely hear it.

Picturepro you beat me to it...

The new Magnaflow exhaust should be pretty good. They make pretty good products over all. Mario Andretti is the spokesperson, so you know it has to be quality!

Just like Michael Andretti in the S2000...

I have a Magnaflow cat-back on my RSX-S. The sound is good, but I am unsure of the construction. I have had an insanely annoying rattle that I have tried to locate without success. It may not be the exhaust as the RSX has had issues with heat shield rattling.
I am getting ready to go back to stock because I'm over dealing with it. Its a shame because it seems to be a good product.

Although I cannot speak to the fit and finish of their pre-fabbed bolt-on solutions, their muffler and cat (CarSound) products are top notch and I've used them for years in my previous custom systems for forced induction vehicles.

Their mufflers are straight through, and if you size them properly for your vehicle, they will not be overly loud or obnoxious. Definitely not ricey fart can Fast and Furious "JDM yo!" faggy shit.

Their cats flow very well and the gentle angles on exit help give them the edge over many of the other small package "high performance" cats I've seen.

I went to the Magnaflow website and they list 2 exhausts for our cars.....a single outlet Titanium one (i am assuming this is what Spugen uses) and a new dual outlet one with 2.5" piping, and 3.5" tips. The dual one is the one that they say is not in production yet. I am not looking for just mufflers or a tip, but an entire cat-back system.

Here is what is on Magnaflow's website:

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd...ne=Sport&id=922

There is no price listed yet, and no actual photos of the exhaust on any real car. When I called, they told me it was in "pre-production" and that the final product would be avaiable to Magnaflow dealers in the next 2-3 months (by x-mas). This would explain the lack of price and photos.

It should be available not much later than that, otherwise, why would they have it on their website?

I like Magnaflow overall sound, it is deep like the comptech....non of that "pissed bees in a coffe can" thing. I would like to see if the tips indeed look like the Comptech exhaust, as I like the way that one looks best (kinda stock looking, but with bigger tips), but at almost $1200, its a big chunk of change. I can wait a few months to save a few hundred $.

Craig with Magnaflo said they did have a dual but lack of power increase
and limited sale stopped producing them.

"A new Ti is in testing and months............... away and might not make it to the retail market... they have higher demand for their truck exhaust sys and bigger gains"

knowing the price of Ti syst.... if it is produced.... $1000-$1500 my guess

look into spugen.... I am

PS spugen need better photos.... their site suxs
