Default maint req'd light

While driving the other day the Maint Req'd light began flashing for about 20 sec then went out, then this evening when I started the car it did it again. Any ideas as to what might have caused this?

Could it be some scheduled maint?

Car has 32500 miles on it.

If your car was recently serviced (oil change, etc)the tech may have forgot to reset the Maint. req. light, or your car could be due for service.

i just had to clear mine yesterday.

put the key in the lock position and press the "trip reset" button. turn the key to the "on" position while pressing the trip reset button. you have to press the trip reset button for probably 5 seconds once the key is in the on position in order to clear the maintenance required light.

It's been 6000mi since your last service or since the last time your light was reset.

Either your car is due for service or you can simply reset the light yourself.

Instructions to do so are in the post above, and it can also be found in your owners manual (p. 51 for the 03's). The manual contains a lot of useful information - if you haven't done so already, I highly recommend you familiarize yourself with it!
