Lately, when I start my car up the maintenance required light keeps flashing for a few seconds. Does this happen to anyone else.

It's just a reminder that your car is up for either 7500 miles or 15,000 or ... service...

Ditto....service is due. If your not around 6,500 or 14,500....take it to the dealer.

I've only got 6100 miles. Is that close enough? It seems to be running fine.

I have that problem right now. The service people told me they would not reset it for me. They just told me they'll reset it the next time I bring it in for an oil change.

I think it's "Hold down odo button, turn key to 'on' position while still holding down odo button for about 10 seconds until light goes out."
