Default maintenance required light

Hey gang

Just being lazy. Too many threads but not the right one in the SEARCH engine.

How do I turn off the Maintenance Required light on the gauge
I got all my maintenances done for now according to the manual Next big one is the 30K mile tune up.

Thanks in advance.

Should be in your manual. I'm too lazy to get mine.

On my '99 Accord, you hold in the odometer reset button and turn on the ignition. Hold the button for maybe fifteen seconds. The light should go off.

if you want to clear the maintenance light, this is what you do.

Turn the key to off position. As you are holding down the trip mileage reset button, turn the key to on position and hold the button until the light goes away.
