Mangled S2000
To make a short story shorter, the car hydroplaned. Hit the front end onto the cement wall traveling ~60-65mph. The car spun and then the rear end met the wall. Both airbags deployed. It felt like an iron cage.
I apologize to the greater S2000 community for playing my part in increasing the already high insurance rate on this car. Should've known better. Thank you for all your inputs, thoughts, and great entertainment value over the past year. I've been a long-time poster and I've enjoyed every moment. Thanks to Ron Bauer for stopping at the scene to see that I was all right.
If the car is repaired, I'll be back. If the car is totaled, I will most definitely be in a different car.
No worries. Thanks, again!

Steve, thanks for your support, bro.
Scooby, I would've avoided this accident had I been driving at a slower clip. It wasn't a puddle I drove through. It was more like a little run-off coming from the edge of the roadway just going with the flow of gravity perpendicular to the car. Nothing special. This stuff is everywhere.
I can't stress enough how important it is to slow down and keep this thing in sixth or whatever when driving in the rain. At nights, it's very difficult to see anything on the road.
It's all about common sense. I just lacked a lot of it last night.
Whether I get this repaired or find another car, I have no preference. I just love cars with character.

No wonder you didn't return my phone call last night.
This sucks major, but I am really glad you are ok. Let me know if I can help with anything. Out of the orginal S2000Porn Three, I am the only one still on the road. Now I am freaking out.
Give me a ring later if you need help with the insurance mess or any of that other stuff.

Hey Ben, again sorry about all this crap..
deep down, i know you dont want the car fixed, but for me I'd rather see you keep it.
I'd miss those random 'Lets Roll!' calls at night... anyway, like jerry, let me know if you need anything, and i'd be happy to give you rides to work.

I'm glad you're OK and that you felt secure in your car when crashing into cement.
Take it easy and good luck figuring out what to do next car-wise!
