dude, hoenstly c'mon. the hell is up wiht that. did you think maybe SOME of us dont have the manuel? geez man is this a site for askign questions and learning or a site for ppl to lecture us.
this question gets asked weekly if not daily between S2000talk and UTH. You're right, this site is for finding answers. But if you're not going to help yourself, then why should anyone help you? A simple search would have quickly turned up the answer to probably one of THE MOST common questions this forum gets.

If you give a man a fish, you've only fed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he'll never have to ask an incessantly repetitive question again.

A bit hard on the guy, don't ya think?

If you're tired of reading the same post, then just ignor it and move on, no need to make him feel small or stupid.

Oh, so you'd rather I "help" him by just answering his question, rather than TRULY helping him by directing him to where he can find the answer to that question and possibly many more? I was using humor to point him in the right direction.

For cryin out loud, are they handing out soapboxes today in a line somewhere that I didn't see? sheesh. I suppose we should allow as many "last year of the S2000 is this year!" threads that the server can hold, right?

I was going to close this thread early in the day because its another one of those "same sh!t different day - "the search doesnt work" threads....

but I figured the onslaught that would ensue would serve as a deterrent to all those wanting to post other "answered every day" questions.

You guys disappoint me today - its been tame so far!

Yes do not reset the ECU, that makes no sense. You need to reset your maint counter....

As one who committed this transgression once long ago (and was dutifully flamed for it), it seems to me a single response like the one quoted above combined with an admonishment to check for answers in the owner's manual is really all that's needed.

The thread would have very few posts and there would be no need for a pissing contest about how people should reply.

Just my .02.

Wait! So are you saying this is the last year of the S2k? I heard the same thing from my friend's uncle's brother's Ford mechanic so I guess its true

Like I said, just ignore the post. All you need is ONE person to direct him on how to get the answers, no need for 15 posts on people making him feel stupid.

Here's the deal, talk to people online as you would in person.

it's actually blinking because it knows you have not yet read your manual. the light will continue to blink until you read your owner's manual.
