Default Many people in this forum are assholes...

I have posted several things on this forum and I have gotten nothing back but smart ass comments. I was happy to buy my S2000 and find a group of individuals who are as elated as I am about my car. I can't believe the replies that I have recieved though. It makes me mad enough to trade my S2000 in for a new Z3 when they come out this fall.

Welcome to the forum. Yes, there are some people who are a bit tense with new people - and the "glass window in the 2000 - 2001 model question" even upsets me - everyone is TIRED of it. But now that you know about the search feature - you will find an answer to almost any question.

Sorry you got off on the wrong foot. There are some great people here with tons of info!

I am not sure what your posts were about but in life, there are always all types of people. I have found some are helpful and some are not, but overall I smile when I read posts on this board. It depends what you are looking for when you post.

Good luck whatever you do.

Nastinupe:

I looked to see what kind of responses you are getting and didn't find them particularly offensive. Now if those answers make you want to trade the car in, maybe you don't really like the car that much in the first place, which BTW is ok. Now I have found a wealth of invaluable info on this board; nearly always by just doing a search. People have made fun of me and I have made fun of people as well. It's just another way of sharing our passion for this incredible machine. Do I care for every response I've read to my questions or other's? of course not. But that's the nature of participating in a free and open community.

I'm sure the new Z3 will be a great machine and if you do decide to trade in for one, I hope you enjoy it. I also hope you find the BMW boards more welcoming to your taste. I for one doubt that'll be the case (My best friend owns an'02 740iL, I know what those boards are like)

Nastinupe asked:
Can a glass rear mirror be installed in a 2000 S2000?
I have a black on black 2000 S2000 and I would like to put a glass rear mirror in it. Is this possible?

the answers were:

I believe all three rear view mirrors on all model years of the S2000 are glass. What makes you think they are not glass?

nastinupe
Neutral

I meant rear window... my bad.

eyescream
3rd Gear

haha this is too funny.......

btw, i dunno the question to ur answer....

Nastinupe asked:
is there a company that sells the clear sides on the head lights?
Is there a company that sells the clear sides on the head lights so we won't have to buy the whole head light unit?

The answer was
maybe. if you're willing to wait.

I'm an asshole. If you don't like it, go somewhere else and quit your whining!

Actually, I prefer being thought of as an asshole by certain types of people. It's a badge of honor. But to the point DUDE I was young and ignorant once too, but didn't dismiss everyone that didn't pander to my whims as an asshole. Chill out and grow up. Stick around and read and learn. Or flame on. We can take it. May even be amusing.
