Default March of the shift knobs -- some comparative photos of Team Voodoo types

In preparing a batch of Team Voodoo knobs to go to the engraver, I thought it might be helpful to take a few snaps of the different types together, so I lined them up in a row and shot them from different angles.

Pearl aluminum are top, polished titanium 2nd row from top, spun titanmium third row from top, and spun aluminum bottom row. I had no polished aluminum, but they resemble the polished titanium closely.

If you are considering these works of the machinist's art, I hope these pictures will be useful.

Rick, I e-mailed the shop yesterday regarding the weight of the titanium knob because I'm looking for more mass compared to my otherwise flawless spun aluminum. Is it heavier than the others or does it go without saying the ti will be even lighter than the al?
thanks!

The titanium is much heavier. Here are the weights for the various Team Voodoo knobs:

OEM Honda S2000 aluminum knob: 146 grams or 5.15 ounces
Polished aluminum S2000 Voodoo knob: 144 grams or 5.08 ounces
Pearl S2000 Voodoo knob: 146 grams, or 5.15 ounces
Polished S2000 titanium Voodoo knob: 237 grams or 8.36 ounces

I love ball shift knobs and I got a Voodoo knob for my s2000 1 year ago

Recently I found a guy that makes ball shift knobs for my M Coupe and I just received it yesterday.

This guy takes a different approach. He used stainless steel and polishes it to a chrome like finish. Since it is stainless steel, the ball weights 18 ozs!!!

This thing is heavy and give a great shifting action.

It would be nice if Voodoo makes a stainless steel knob for the s2000. The extra weight makes a BIG difference ...

I have the basic Team Voodoo knob for my S.

I couldn't be happier. I love the way that it feels, the fact that it shortens shifts, and the look. IMO, this is the best bang for the buck, sure fire mod that you can make for the S. Slide one of these bad boys on and it will improve every drive you take.

Thanks Rick for offering this great product.

Got an e-mail from Jim on the above posted info. Thanks Rick! However, I'm in agreement with Kai with regards to heavy knobs. I wish you offered a ss version. The weight difference between my spun aluminum and spun ti really isn't that significant. I was hoping the Ti was going to be in the 400-450 gram area (about 16 oz?). I can tell you one thing though...the '02 knob with the leather is significantly heavier than the Team Voodoo spun aluminum so the 00-01 S2K OEM knobs must be fairly light to be outweighed by the Voodoo. Unless you have plans to offer a heavier knob, it looks like I'm going to have to either snake some lead tape around the entry point area of the knob or look for something else....

If there's enough interest, Bob Krueger is willing to make a magnum version (super heavweight) of his S2000 knob.
