Hello from NJ. Does anyone use marvel mystery oil in their S2000?
PS: if you're from Hoboken NJ you would say "earl" not oil !!!

I've never used it, there are some good youtube videos that test it out, it depends on what you are trying to achieve. It has a following among enthusiasts, much like Seafoam, I believe it is mostly a high solvent product, not sure how much lubrication properties it has, some people put it in their fuel and some put it in their oil ?

To clean piston ring deposits the new Valvoline Restore and Protect engine oil seems to be all the rage right now, and since everyone needs to run an oil that might be a good choice with no additives needed. For an upper cylinder lube I like to run a 1/2 bottle maintenance dose of Redline Fuel System cleaner, one bottle does two fuel tanks. It cleans injectors and combustion chambers and is an upper cylinder lube as well.

Something tells me it's no longer the 1923 formula.

It is a mystery to me.

Using a quality synthetic has keep my engine (when I remove the covers) looking pretty darn clean with no deposits on the metal at all. Having the injectors professionally cleaned should solve issues related to that.

I would go with a good oil than smoke, mirrors and mystery.

Perhaps we need a good thread on the best engine oil?

You guys in the USA have Valvoline Restore and Protect and HPL engine cleaner. Both are made by reputable companies and really proven to work.

I thought I would highjack this thread and add this Hagarty article for some oil reading and information.
