I was in line for this hood but have stepped off the bandwagon because I wasn't comfortable with the lack of information regarding how it might affect the handling. The wind blowing into the hood has to go somewhere. With the scoop opening being so close to the front of the hood, it would seem to me that those with aftermarket intakes that free up so much room in front of the block (as I) would not want to go this route as the increased flow of air entering the scoop would flow directly into this opening and under the car, creating lift at high speed.
Amuse and Top Secret-style vented hoods allow some engine heat to escape without air being forced into the engine bay because the vents face the windshield.
My Camaro SS' scooped hood was set-up so air entering the hood was directed into an intake. This way, you weren't faced with the prospect of opening the hood and looking at an engine bay that looked like it had been dragged through the elements.

I'm not in the habit of bashing sponsors but in the interest of making sure my fellow S2K'ers are well informed I suggest anyone considering buying from Mastergrade read this thread:
