Default Max speed in gears?

Hey all, I want to calculate the new speed in gears for the shorter final drive ratios available. However, I did a search and couldn't find a chart of the maximum speed in each gear stock.

Can someone post the info?

Thanks.

Yeah, like the post I had on 'Encounters' with a Boxster; S2K driver downshifted to 5th gear and kept flooring it. A 'gentle' bend in the freeway seemed to be much more than that at the speeds being reached; that's when the Boxster backed off and went back into traffic a long way back.

My source was Road & Track Road Test Annual 2001; the only number I altered was 6th, since they estimated 150 at 9250 rpms. The 153 mph came from another reliable source which I do not recall off hand. Your free to use what ever numbers you wish -- everyone loves higher numbers and there are several folks who claim to have reached higher top numbers (wind, downhill, speedo error, who knows). I consider R&T to generally be a very accurate source but they too screw up.

also keep in mind, even the slightest change in tire diameter will make a difference. right now, my speedo is 4mph faster than it should be - as confirmed via GPS - also keep in mind, that DOT standards state that either the speedo must be accurate at 55mph or 65mph, and anything else...well...who knows. so, in that assumption, your speedo could be off in second gear going 75mph. The only car I've had at 75mph in second gear was an 88 mustang with 2.73 gears in the rear end.
