Today I test drove a Mercedes SLK320 (the V6) and an SL500. I've never driven a Benz before, and just thought it would be interesting to check it out. I'm at a trade show where they have a test course set up in a large parking lot -- fun straightaway, some esses, and a few tight corners. My reaction - mushy, mushy, mushy.

Made my love my S2000 even more.

(And at $97k for the SL500, I really expected to be somewhat impressed.)

(Oh, okay, they both had a glove box.)

 

My neighbour has a S500...really its nothing special. With a base price of $117k CDN, Id rather buy an Audi S8...thats a car!

I drove a 2001 c320 Sport a year ago. For some reason the interior feel reminded me of a Chrysler 300M..go figure

 

SLK 230K is my daily beater....poor me...
