Default Megan Header

So I've searched to death, but it seems that still nobody has dynoed the Megan header? For the price ($400 or less shipped), it seems like a great option if it would do anything at all. I already have the Invidia and Berk TP, and I've read a few people claiming that a header will further reduce the drone, much like the TP does. Is that a logical claim at all?

Worth the cost of the item plus install at a shop, or am I better off looking toward something else (4.44s, ect.)? I can't see spending even the $700 for the Ricks Header.

I think if Megan would release a back-to-back dyno of this header and if it actually yielded power they'd make a fortune.

I put the megan header on along with the TIR and I made some power, no dyno though. I am pretty sure that the place that manufactures the megan header is the same factory which makes APEXi exhaust. But like you said as far as power I dont know. I would go with gears though too, I will be getting them soon.

Gears if you can afford them.

In regards to the Rick's header, the gains (as per his website) can only be attributed to the AP1's. I recall seeing a thread where an AP2 owner did not see any gains at all with this header and ended up selling it.

I have the Megan header with T1R70mm Exhaust No drone.
I used header wrap to help quite the sound of the exhaust
works great for me

I dynoed the car in November and made 212 HP/140 TQ. on a dyno jet

Do you have a baseline dyno before the header? How about a dyno chart?

This is on the same dyno with stock header, Spoon test pipe, stock exhaust, , K & N filter. If you take away 5 HP for the test pipe and filter.... baseline would be around 185/187 HP to the wheels bone stock, average

I do not have the chart for this run yet, I will when they send it to me

Ok. So by adding the T1R 70mm and Megan header, you went from 190 rwhp to 212 rwhp, correct?
