i have tried to research this and cannot really find a straight answer on this. are the valve springs for the S2000 the same as the RSX? also, (are you ready for this one) do you think there is any way for you to adapt aftermarket K20A cams, cam shafts, retainers, valve springs and valves on a F20C? also the bore of the F20C's pistons are the same as the K20A, do you think these could bolt up to the connection rods; would the wrist pins fit? i know this sounds crazy, but its worth me asking if this would add any power if this is possible. do you think anything else would fit (I.E. Accord Euro R F-Series engine parts), or am i just crazy?

Well, I can tell you that the 2.0 and the 2.2 crank DO fit the RSX AND the TSX... I dont know of anyone that has tried the pistons and what not, BUT... ours are forged, theirs are cast .. so ours are much better

The issue with the cams is that since they are designed to be used with the i-VTEC function they might not yield too much of a positive result. You would have to check on the cams that are made to be used when used with the variable valve timing eliminating gears, except I believe that those are VTEC killer cams only. Another thing is, TODA performance cams are bigger for the S2000 than for the RSX.

Here's what i would try though... in fact, I WANT TO TRY THIS MYSELF...

I want to install 2004 cams into my 03 and try some dyno tuning to see the result.. I have a VERY good feeling that there are gains to be had. I am pretty sure that a lot of the gains on the 04 come from better tuning and better cams.

I visited Shawn at Church Automotive 2 weeks ago and we were talking about this. He showed me the graphs together in a single page... there were areas where the 03 would have a torque DIP and the 04 would have a torque RISE... so I was thinking that it had to do with the cams and tuning. Another thing... there is a spike of power in the 04 cams right before redline, suggesting that there is more power to be had with extra revs..

Ive already priced the 04 cams... They are $560/pair and Im pretty sure you can use your existing valvesprings.

hey , thanks for your reply. that is a good find. be sure to tell us what happens as the end result. i am sure there are other posibilities out there to add power. i was just brainstorming and seeing what others could say. thanks for your post.

Holy crap, i am not sure if anyone has noticed this. the H22a and F20c share the same bore and stroke of 87.0 x 90.7. does this mean that the s2000 han handle h22a pistons safely?

hmmm, i also looked up the ECU codes for the H22a/F20B/F22B/F23A/H23A/F18B [17220-PCA] and F20c [17220-PCX]. do you think there is a posibility that these ECU's can be compatible?

The RSX Type S (K20A2) and S2000 (F20C) share the same exhaust valve springs. The intake valve springs on the RSX-S are from the DC5 Integra Type R (K20A motor)
