I like the look of these, but haven't seen them on many s2k's...

I'm new to s2000's (2 mos now), but it seems like there is a larger trend towards body kits than inserts...

its one of those "to each his own" kind of things. you'll find lots of folks on these boards that like things I find horrible ugly like over fenders and body kits. different strokes...
the mesh grills CAN look good... but can also easily look over-done.

Personally a nice subtle/tidy mesh can set off the front end nicely. Imo the stock front end does not need one but I can see the appeal on some aftermarket products.

Maybe.....just maybe if the grill is black mesh. That way it doesnt look like something you found at HomeDepot. No spray paint is not an option.

I have this insert on my 2005.

I never liked the big black hole on the front of our cars. I have had some comments about the grill, some like it and some don't. The install was pretty easy only took about an hour to install all three pieces.

I haven't had any heat related issues but then I don't live in a hot area like the southwest or south east either. I could see if the temps were in the triple digits then this grill might hinder the air flow.

When I was in high school (10 years ago) someone with a 1995 Cavalier had one of those.

It didn't look good then, either.

I think this one looks really good. The ones that are custom-fitted to a car don't look cheap.

Personally I've opted to leave that space empty until it is inhabited by a intercooler!

I wouldnt do it, but black mesh doesnt look too bad.

Just a front lip, that completes the front bumper just fine.
