I installed this and because I don't have an iPOD I use the 3.5mm input jack. I noticed a huge quality loss when you use this port. The quality just isn't there. Does anyone experience this or is this a defected unit that I have. Anyone ideas?

i have a jlink hooked up to the oem radio. when it worked it was fine but my ipod is busted and unusuable now. either i buy another overpriced ipod mp3 player or i buy a cheapo mp3 and have to buy a different hook up cable. either way the radio is getting really boring...

 

Ive noticed that I have to have the ipod volume up more and keep the radio turned down or it doesnt get a good signal. You get that air/distortion sound.
