Rev, I haven't seen the dyno sheet, so I can't really speak to the specifics, even though Giampiero told me the numbers, it was in combination with the exhaust they are developing...needless to say, it was quite impressive. We are going to wait to dyno my car once the final version is complete. Of course, I will post the sheets for you all to see...but I can't say where in the band the hp comes, that we will know shortly.

Wesmaster, I am not that knowledgeable about how the exhaust manifold should be different for a s/c'd motor. I won't even pretend that I know! I'm sure someone else can answer that question far better than I can...

We will have the whole set up on my car before S2KDays, but as far as commercial availability, I don't know exactly. It should be right around the time of S2KDays...that's what I expect, anyway. The anticipated cost for the header/exhaust is in the neighborhood of 1500 to 1800 dollars, I think it's closer to 1500, but don't quote me. Not bad for a custom hand polished header and exhaust combination. Giampiero assures me that this pieces are of the utmost quality. I'm really anxious to get them put on and tested. The people doing the pieces are highly experienced manufacturers in Italy and have done exhausts for just about every European high performance/exotic there is...expect very good quality. I will have more details on the exhaust soon, as well...

nvmys2k, yea, I'm a punk...whatcha gonna do about it!?

Stay tuned!

Greg,

Giampiero was telling me that they wanted to do a group buy on the headers and his exhaust for around $1500.

I sure hope that they get better at the welds on the production versions though. They look terrible, with all that extra slag and uneven weld pattern. Polishing them would only make it look worse!

I'm very interested to know the performance gains though. Looks aren't everything....but they are nice to have!

I was going to buy the HKS or N1 exhaust, but am going to hold off until I know what this puppy can do!

Cheers,

I will try to answer more of the enquires we received after Greg post;

Availability;end of April.
Prices;headers $625.00
Exhaust $985.00
Headers +Exhaust $1.550.00,with this combo a Straight pipe for the CAT will be available on request for free.
Exhaust tips;100 mm oval.

As Greg stated I will not post any results of the dyno done by the manufacturer untill we will do our own on Greg car.
Manufacturer is testing these parts on my car and they will do at least an other 3.000km before starting production;just to see if everything is ok concerning attaching points etc etc

I am also interested in the header (I will have SC soon). Will you post dyno, impressions, etc to this same thread or start a new one?

Some of you have asked to learn a little more about the makers of the MG Racing header/exhaust, so I thought I'd share a bit about that...

The company that is making the set up is called Mach 3. They are out of Italy.

Some of their customers are:

-Hartge, a well known BMW tuner
-Steinmetz, Opel tuners
-Honda Europe
-Carlsson, Mercedes tuners
-V&R, they specialize in Lotus applications
-MS Design, Austria
-Gemballa, Porsche ... oh yea, baby

They also support a lot of European racing teams and Giampiero assures me that they have exquisite attention to detail and they are a highly qualified professional organization of people, even though the company is fairly new...founded about a year ago. Many of the folks at Mach 3 are former employees of Supersprint Racing and decided to leave to form their own company, Mach 3.

Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know...I will be posting the dyno results etc as soon as I possibly can...which should be here in the next few weeks...in time for S2KDays!

Hi Greg and Giampiero

Can you tell me what the thickness of the material of the header pipes is? Can you also tell us what grade of stainless you are using?

I'm also looking forward to your report of dyno results.
