I had been averaging just under 15k a year but since my winter beater has passed away and I don't plan on replacing it probably between 18 and 20k a year.

Unless you were deployed overseas for the military, or had no access to your car for an extended period of time, I don't even see why you still have the car. I mean, I can see breaking it out on only nice days, but less than 1200mi per year is kinda silly.

But hey, to each his own.
I'm finishing my PHD, am a regional sales manager and I travel 4 days a week - and when home, I don't have alot of time to just drive. My neighbor at the beginning of the cul-de-sac has a 2000 model year with 1800 miles.

I don't understand that at all, thats like only 300 miles/ yr. Why even own it? He should sell it to someone that would give it a proper home.

it's rediculous i know - he told me he hasn't even changed his oil yet! after 5 years!. half of the problem with the low mileage on my S was that it was stuck back in seattle while i relocated here for 12 months before i sold my home there, and purchased one here across the country.
