42898...bought new May 14th, 2003. Yep, I roll!! And that's after a 5 month downtime to replace the engine from October '03 to early March '04 due to a lubrication issue(never resolved).
Just to clarify, as stated above, the engine(long block) was replaced at 13,400 miles due a knocking noise. The crankshaft thrust bearing was dislodged and found in the oil pan upon inspection. It was never determined why this happened other than a "lack of lubrication" which I agree with. Once I got the engine in my own shop for inspection, I discovered that the cam journals indicated a lack of oil. The lobes were also scarred. Obviously, there was at least a momentary lack of oil pressure......probably at high RPM. At any rate, I was lucky enough to hook up with a top-notch engine builder who was familiar with the F20C. He built a SUPER FINE engine for me. Good luck!
