Well, it wasn't really a meet, just James Mullins and I getting together to plan new accessories for the car we love. After some spirited, top-down driving through the beautiful country north of Baltimore, we stopped for this picture. What a car!

Nice Pic! I'm from the Owings Mills area and have a Silver/Red on order from Northwest Honda. Any tips or advice before I take delivery? Thanks,

Rick,

I'm in the Crofton area. What dealer did you get yours. I went to Tischer in Laurel (an hour late, just missed a Silverstone). They don't do a markup but they do dealer installed options (the spoiler for $2500). Supposedly the dealer in Annapolis has 4, but they do a $5K markup. The Audi dealer loves them, that markup makes the lease payments more than a TT225 roadster.

Peregrine,

I recommend Heritage Honda. They have dealerships in Towson and several other places in MD and PA and sell all S2000s at MSRP with no unwanted add-on to jack up the price. My Towson saleswoman is Karen Herbert and she's great to deal with. Last month they had several delivered that customers had backed out on, so if you give them a call you may luck out.

silver,

The S2ki FAQ on delivery is what I followed. It's all very good advice.

Rick

Rick is absolutely right,
the Heritage dealers are the way to go. I have a signed note saying that my Silver/Red coming in April will be sold to me at msrp, no forced options. This is from the Heritage in Westminster. I had to put a grand down to hold it, but that is fully refundable if I decide I don't want the car. Unfortunately that was the last alloted S2000 of this year, but there's bound to be some people that back out on the ones taken.

I almost forgot!
If you want to test drive the S2000, go to Odonnell Honda in Ellicott City, MD. My friend and I took a silver/red out this past Saturday for almost an hour. It was my first experience driving this wonderful machine and what a rush it was!

It's funny, the car was actually sold while we were out driving it. Too bad they force options and overcharge there, some poor guy paid $37,000.

That's too bad that they sold the car and let you guys drive it for an hour. Let me tell you...I would be thoroughly pissed if that was my car. I'm fortunate because I'm good friends with the Dealer I'm getting my car from. It should be in anytime now, I put no money down and I will get the car at MSRP. Again, I've known him for a long time so I probably have some advantage. I plan on buying the front and rear spoiler too. Any suggestions on that?
