At work im known as the guy with that Silver convertable.(BMW? umm no!) Well there was an auction for the 1:18 size Maisto Red S2000 from sharper image. He picked it up for 18 bucks! Delivered to the house for like 21.15. He was like do you want it just pay me what I paid. If not I know somebody else who wants it.

They went overboard with this damb thing! It has a steering wheel that works....real shocks! Oh yes it has slotted rotors to boot. I though was dissapointed that the H on the wheel caps isnt centered on the air plug. Its the little things I love!

I cant pass it up. Hell I can give it out as a pre-bought X-Mas present! I probably wont end up paying for it anyways.

Just gotta make sure other people dont buy one for me as well. Though hell I can have one for work and one for home.

If I do get 2 1 is staying in the box sealed! Hell 500 years from now it might be worth 40 bucks!

I have the SI Maisto S2000, paid $32! I also bought the same car from Sams for $9.00!!

$18 is great but certainly better than $32.

You guys are not getting the right one! The AutoArt is way more accurate. I got the Maisto first and thought it was great...then I got an AutoArt version.

Big difference in accuracy and quality. Although the Maisto is a great deal at the prices you have purchased at!

The Autoart version is wonderful. It has more detail on the bottom. It even has a blue Honda oil filter on the engine. The scale for the engine is better matched to the car. The Silver is an excellent match for Silverstone Metalic.

I bought mine from www.autofanatics.com and their service was excellent.

There is no Autoart in Silver/Black. I had to settle for Silver/Red.

I think i'm gonna get the Autoart model, and a tyco RC s2000 but it looks like mattel only makes it in red which isn't quite my flavor.

There is absolutely NO comparison between Auto Art and Maisto Models. Maisto models, along with Bburago models, are built with kids in mind and are sold at TOY stores. Auto Art, along with some other select few companies (such as UT), make true models and are VERY nice and are not meant for kids, or for toys. I have a collection of 30+ die-cast models (much to my wife's dismay), most of which are Auto Art and UT. They also make the best Ferrari's. Some of the racing models (BMW's, Audi's and Opel's) with sponsor paint and stickers on them made by UT run upwards to $70 bucks, but they are the most amazing models you will ever see....the detail in the cockpit alone is amazing, down to the recaro seats, red fire extinguishers and duel shifters. Some good online distributers of these models are : http://www.exoticar.com/pages/index.cfm
and: http://etoybugs.com/ The exoticar.com catalog is wonderful.

Yeah, but the AutoArt model isn't available in red .

Also note that Maisto models have been issued in both RHD and LHD versions. I have the RHD and am looking for a red LHD to add to the collection.

Not true, Auto Art has made red, white, silver, black, and even YELLOW models (I have one) of the S2000, however, it is not available here in the states (you have to order online), and I believe they are OOP. The yellow S2000 has been out for a long time in Japan, and Auto Art being a Japanese company, made all these models before the real car was even available to the general public, even in Japan.
