Thanks SlowDriver for organizing our drive! Nice to see a few S2000s all in one place (plus a couple MR2s).
I thought I'd post here so those outside our region might learn that there is life outside the coasts and the south.
Too bad the sun didn't cooperate or we could have shown off our bundled up, top down style. Here are a few of the better photos I took.
Here's Tu's equipment.
and everyone checking it out!
A couple "fall colors" shots.
Driving in Mississippi River bluff country.
This one is my favorite.
The last picture is real clever! Looks like the left turn onto US10.
Todays high temperature was 39 degrees. So no flames about our tops being up!
It was great meeting all you folks! Maybe we can build on this for next year! We have the Minnesota record (not hard to do). 7 S2000s all in one place. All we needed was a white and a blue to complete the picture.
I'd like to say I planned that shot, but when you are trying to drive and take pictures at the same time, there's not a lot of planning. The nice curve at the intersection provided a good look at the cars in front of me. As I positioned the camera, I noticed the mirror. So I just reframed a bit...
mntony, I'm real glad to see that you managed to get an array of garbage cans and recycle bins in one of your pictures. That used to be a tradition among other S2000 owners.
It was too bad I had to duck out early on the run, would've been a nice drive down further south, plus a beer would have been perfect . It was cool meeting you all, if you go for any more cruises, keep the MN area MR2's in mind.
You got some great shots from inside the car. I especially like 3133 for the trees and color, and 3146, which I think has six of the seven S2000s in view.
mntony: Great pix you took there... I got to the gas station and realized I didn't even bring my digital camera long nor my video cam. I'll be sure to bring those along next time.
