The S2000 is available in all of the "classic" sportscar colors except one,....British Racing Green. Why do you think that is? Maybe because so much of the S2000 design was influenced by the Lotus Elan that Honda decided to downplay the British connection? Strange, the engine revs like a Ferrari and even has a Red valve cover ala' the Testarossa (Red Head). Why wouldn't Honda pay a subtle tribute to Lotus with a British Racing Green over Saddle Leather S2000?
Another tribute (like the red valve covers to Ferrari) would be the shape of the Shift Nob. Watch the classic F1 racing movie Grand Prix and note the Shift nobs. Honda wanted to recreate the single seat formula car for the street with the S2000.

If Honda had done the BRG thing, they probably would have been accused of copying the Miata, rather than paying homage to the Brits. I would have rather they imported the Monte Carlo blue to the U.S.

Always loved blue because of the Shelby Cobra: Guardsman Blue w/White LeMans Stripes.
Awesome!
