Problem description: ON SOME VEHICLES, WHEN THE TOP IS LOWERED OR RAISED, OR THE DRIVER TRYS TO USE THE AUTO DOWN FUNCTION FOR THE POWER WINDOW, THE WINDOW GOES DOWN ONLY 3 OR 4 INCHES. THE WINDOW GOES DOWN ALL THE WAY IF YOU PUSH AND HOLD THE POWER WINDOW BUTTON.

I'm trying to find out if Honda has updated the failing automatic window motor/relay since the MY 00-01's came out. If none of the 2002's have the problem, it is a good indication that Honda has the problem fixed. Thanks for voting!

Note: If you are an '02 owner with a failing driver's side motor/relay (a "NO" vote), please confirm by posting a reply in addition to your vote. Thank's again!

My windows go all the way down when I raise or lower the top.
I think I would like it better if they only went down a few inches when
raising or lowering the top!

Hey, someone voted that their window does NOT go all the way down. Was this actually from an '02 owner, or a confused '00-'01 owner? Damm...

Well, if the "NO" vote was really from an '02 owner, it looks like the part is still failing!!

I just came from the dealer. The tech guy says there is an updated window relay. It's on order for me, and will get there monday, when I'll have it put in. I'll try and get a part number for the old and the new.

I'd rather do it myself... Have to find a dealer willing to let me do that.

Hi, I have a 2002 and I am picking it up from the dealer 07/18 for this exact problem. They did replace the relay/motor assembly.

That's an affimirmative for my '02.

Here's the background and good details on the problem...

Ironically, it fixed itself. It works fine now. But I still consider it a defect. -KM.

Yup, had the same problem in April or May. Took it to the dealer and they said that the driver side window motor was bad and they replaced it. But now it's starting to do the same thing but not as constant as the first time.

Without knowing it, it looks like I have duplicated a previous poll/topic.

The thread I started a few days ago has 70 votes on it so far. Only 40% of the people who voted DON'T have problems.

Make sure you vote on the new thread since it has had a better response. It would be good to see how severe this problem really is.
