A member in my community is having problems reaching Bob too. Hopefully he is ok. He's a real value to the s2k community.

The fix is to get the top down where it should be. I don't see anything that says this will stop the rips.

if you get one of the sweet replacement soft tops which are better material, will it not rip then?

I just purchased these straps from Bob (Modifry) just a few days ago.
He is still in business and a great guy to deal with.
All of his products are great.

thanks...i was able to put in an order via the site late yesterday...go figure? hopefully results will follow.

the top fix is simply to get the bar in question where it belongs on the folding process...that prevents the top wearing at the rear of the hinge and other places when down...i checked out his instruction sheet and tried to put the bar down while folding, it works...meaning his fix should do the trick....

i had my top and top frame replaced in early 07 due to vandalism....there was no top wear on that top....yet they probably did not replace the straps as they are frayed and have lost their strength to do their pupose....we shall see

reach over your head when you're dropping the top and make sure the swing bar falls back.

easy solution

Have you received your straps yet? I haven't gotten my order (placed 4 weeks ago) and there is no sign of Modifry anywhere..
