Check your caps button. All-caps posts are annoying.

You want cheap speed with the already-highly-tuned S2K? Go on a diet and lose some weight. Oh, you mean the car? Remove spare tire, light single exhaust, remove passenger seat, etcetera.

If I was keeping my car NA I'd be tempted by the Hondata reflash but not for your year-2000 car. Maybe someone with an AP1 will have a tuning suggestion.

Maybe you'd like a lower rear end ratio ("gears")?

Get some 4.77 gears. I'd say best bang for the buck besides giving your car the atkins diet. Other than that, Keep up the required maint., don't over rev, and she'll be a joy way past 100k miles.

Hmm...I hear most budget-conscious owners are sticking with a simple motor swap from the Enzo? You'd need to make sure the Johnson rod is compatible, though. Especially with the colored emblems. Good luck!

Remove spare tire, replace I/H/E with something lighter, run OEM 16" wheels, then lastly gears if you want more punch down low.

bear76, if you type in all caps it sounds like you are SHOUTING AT US.

New to the forums, I guess. Pay no mind to the jokesters. You are new here and welcome.

Anyway, the S2K is rather expensive to make faster other than the way the guys above mentioned. Do you actually have a model year 2000 or did you just set your profile up to the default?

A lower ratio on the final differential gear set will take away top speed (so what in most cases, the car is capable of over 150) but give you better acceleration. It's like lowering the ratio of all your transmission gears. However, bear in mind that this is still over a $1000.00 modification.

Did you have some sort of budget in mind?

Now, just so you know, I'm really not this nice. It's just that I think a lot of them only read "ITS MY FIRST CAR" and not "I'M 32" and "I'VE ALWAYS OWNED TRUCKS"

So......

Take your car to a road track. For around $300 you'll get several hours of track time with an instructor. Priceless. I've seen more than one guy find out that their car is faster than they are the first time...
