Default Moisture in my headlight lens

I seem to be getting moisture in my headlight lens. I assume this is due to a bad seal somewhere. What do i need to do to fix this problem? How do i get the lens out to replace the seals?

I tried to do a seach but it seems that the search feature is not working right now.

did you ever open your housings? If you did, then you need to reopen them, clean them and then seal it correctly. If you have never opened them, then Honda will help you out if you're still under warranty.

Did it come with a warranty? If so bring it to honda and have them replace it. Its the easiest way.

If you don't have a warranty you'll have to pry them open and reseal them or buy a brand new light

buying a brand new light will cost you much more than you want to spend for moisture inside the headlight. There are a few ways of prying the housing open, using a heat gun or hair dryer or ovenning the sucker. It's really a pain in the ass to do and requires taking off the bumper. Try to see if your car came with a warranty.

Do you still have the amber diffuser? If yes, now is a good time to get clear corners. Here's how you open up the headlight:

ricks is the best instructions around...

cant tell where you live, but there are some guys in this club who can do this for you. its a real pia to have to drop the bumper to get the lenses out so you can melt them but its the only way to do it!

if i were you, i'd get this fixed as soon as possible. when i bought my car used, there was moisture in the headlight unit (and had been for awhile). on the drive home from TX to IL, i found out that the headlight wouldn't even come on. i'm not exactly sure what the final outcome was, but i think something in the unit got fried, and the thing that powers up the light was completely waterlogged.

luckily, i got this replaced under warranty. if not, i think the dealership would've charged almost $1500 or so.

thanks for the info everyone. Ricks does seem to be the best instructions around.

I had a bad feeling i was going to have to take a few parts off the car to get to the light.
