Thumbs down moisture in taillight! NEED HELP

So, some how I got water in my tail light while washing my car, and I am going to open it up with a friend tmr. He said he is going to put it in the oven or something to evaporate the moisture. I am not 100% sure what to do, I have done some searches but could not come up with any techniques to fix my problem.
I am guessing he is going to do a similar technique used in clearing the side markers, but I don't know if he know 100% what he is doing. (However he has more finess when it comes to working on cars, and says he knows what he is doing ) I was wondering if someone here could give me a jyst of things to and NOT do.

Thanks a TON!

he is probably going to just put it in the oven to make the seals loose then clean off any condensation then reseal it with some more seals to make sure its weathertight.

When you re-install it, make sure that the foam gasket between it and the body is in tact and properly seated. My gasket wasn't and I got water in mine also. Once I dried it out, I had hard water spots on the clear lens.

Is it water or condensation??? If its condensation I would give it a few days to see if it will go away on its own. That happens from time to time, or atleast it does to me? If its really hot and you are putting cold water on the taillight it does that. I would avoid taking them apart unless you really have to.
