more on bump steering
took the S2K to the folks at Larry Hopkins Honda for servicing and mentioned the pogo action and my experiences with bump steering. one of their techs had some advice and offered to try it out on the car and the results are excellent (quite noticable in fact).
what he did:
1) nearly eliminated toe-in (1/16"),
2) gave it 2 degrees of negative camber,
3) tire pressure of 35 on all four corners.
note - a big part of his rationale was the spoon X-Brace and STB (though he discounted the STB pretty much entirely).
i drove back part of the way on Skyline and it was great. the car felt loose, but totally catchable. the bump steering (front and back) still exists but the pogoing was much less severe and much less disconcerting. in particular, the duration of the pogo action was dramatically shorter (less rebound bouncing).
no idea why he came up with this, but it's pretty sweet.
oh - and by the way - he confirmed the notes posted by DavidM about the S2K's sensitivity to tire pressure - in particular unbalanced pressure right to left (so once you find the pressures that work for you make sure you check all the time).

Great post. Do you know the name of the tech that did your work? I was in there yesterday, Jason looked at it because the alignment is off (only 1K on the clock). He thinks it is from the shipping from Japan, they strap the cars down by the suspension. Any way, I will be taking it in on Tuesday for an alignment. Should I request these settings? I haven't noticed the bump steer, not sure I know what it is. Does the X-brace exacerbate the problem? My mingster brace is on order and coming soon.
What do you suggest?

I would suggest you not ask for any changes in the tuning unless you have problems with the current tuning you have. If you don't have the bump steering issue (and don't have the STB and XBrace) I would not suggest changing to my set-up. The tuning set-up I have is probably not only relevant ONLY to those with the setup I have AND who experience the bump steering, but ALSO for those who prefer a looser car (as I do).

Was running 36 front and 33 rear (cold) based upon various suggestions. stock wheels and tires. was great grip-wise on smooth pavement.
