n/a would be changing the internals, going higher compression, and running higher octane rating..

Yes, but it would cost less to go with boost.

Nitrous will do that for around 1K.

Anything else and you're looking at 5K +

What about a "Type-R" Sticker. They add about 25hp each, so put one on each bumper.

The first thing new buyers should learn about this car, as I have said in countless other n00b posts, is: IF YOU WANT CHEAP POWER DONT BUY AN S2000! This is the last sports car on earth that will make that kind of power without forced induction. In your case, it would be cheaper to go FI. 50hp NA requires stroker kit, higher compression pistons, ITBs, AEM standalone with a GREAT tune, Hytech header, 3" header-back exhaust, serious head work, most likely bigger fuel injectors, etc. You will then have 240-260whp. For half the money of all that, you could have a supercharger or Greddy turbo kit and on stock internals have a little over 300whp. If you want to be able to cheaply and easily make NA power, you need a high-displacement engine. Anything with an LS1 in it should suit your tastes. It will be cheaper to buy and cheaper to make power with. However, good luck making it handle or brake better than your average Honda Odyssey.
