Default More and More Miles on the s

So I have an 01 GPW s2k and I love the car. But I can't help but get a little sad/ upset when I see the miles run up on the car. I bought it last year with 78,700k and had to drive it 700 miles home from where I bought it. A year later it now has 97k on it. While I absolutely love it and it brings a smile to my face when I take it out, I can't help but cringe when I see the odometer creeping o so closer to 100k.
Does anyone else feel my pain or am I just too odd with my car?

i feel ur pain...when i switch my cluster from mi to km goes from like 62,000 to 98,000

i think it's a good thing that the miles are going up...it means you're enjoying the crap out of ur car. (or you just do a lot of highway driving) i put on 10,000 miles in 2 years in my previous car and i thought i enjoyed driving it. i put on 2,000 miles in 2 months in my S....never thought it'd happen but i love driving it too much to worry about the miles building up...just keep driving and don't worry about it!

Everyone feels like this when it comes to mileage. For multiple reasons, obviously. But don't feel too bad, these cars can't last WAY past 100k miles.

If you aren't going to drive it, why do you own it?

I'm guessing you meant "can"?

Anyway, I got an oil change done on my car on Sunday, August 22nd. By Sunday, August 29th, I drove 1030 miles in the car.
As of today, I'm at 80% oil life.
I don't mind, though. I didn't buy this car to worry about mileage.

I have a second car that I drive. Hence the user name. And I do drive it. I think 20k in one year is driving it! I just want to enjoy it for 10+ years. And the less miles on the car the longer I can enjoy it
