Would anyone have a hard time choosing between the S2K and an STi? Sorry this post is so boring... Please respond with vigor.

Not for me. Though the decision can vary by location. The STi can be a car that is used all year round and the S can pose difficulties dufin the winter month if you live up North. If you live in a city that is relatively warm AND love convertibles, the S is the obvious answer. The S wil be more fun to drive. But the STi is also great and can prob be moddified more easilly. Another note is the STi is very performance orientated but its still does not look like a sports car. It really is a sedan on MAJOR steroids. If the decision came to me and I lived up north and this car would be my daily driver, I would opt for the STi, if the car will be used where the climate is generally warm or as a weekend car, I go with the S. Hope this helps.

Just noticed you are from the Bay Area, I definately go with the S2000. I give my left arm to be able to drive US1 by you by Carmel and Big Sur. That is my dream in my S2000. I envy any S2000 owner that go on drives down that road. Perfeect road for the S2000. Beautiful scenery, lots and lots of twisties, convertible top, leads to

I ( and I will say most here) would choose the s2000 because of the convertible top, the feature that you dislike about this car...see your other post.!

I guess if I wanted to buy a really ugly car that was fast I might consider it, but I'm to vain to be seen in an ugly car. Pacer, Gremlin, WRX, STi, & Aztek, they are all the same, BUTT UGLY, just some faster than others.

the STi looks pretty good IMO, and with 300+ hp/torque its a good choice(but not my style). if you like AWD and low end torque, go with the STi. the s2k is more of a real drivers car that takes skill. the STi is much easier to control.

I think you have to be a rally fan to appreciate the looks of the Impreza.

But I'd still take the S2K.
