Default More Road Rage towards the S2K =(

I am convinced that people in the city of Austin TX must be the most unfriendly focking a$$holes Ive ever lived with. Wait, let me tell you what I really think.....nah better not, might get kicked off this wonderful board.

I know I shouldnt stereotype a whole town because of 2 idiots, but its too late for that. Heres my story....

Coming home up 101, Im about to take my exit, when a POS red Chevy cuts me off. No big deal, it wasnt THAT close, so I thought he didnt see me, and give him a flick of the High beams. We both take the exit, get to the traffic light and stop in the left turn lane. Must have been the most ugly hick, hillybilly, billybob, white trash, honky, redneck, Mutherfockers Ive ever seen. Anyway, the passenger keeps looking back at me. Didnt really think nothing of it, and the light turns green. I left a good distance behind him. Im almost to my street, then he gets in the right lane, and slows down. I can see both of them looking back toward me. I almost start to pass them, then my left turn comes up, and I get in the turn lane. Just then, I cup of Water (or honky piss) gets chucked at my car. It lands in the lane I was just in. At least it landed in front of my car, and none of it got on my S. Then they tried to speed away. I was like WTF, and couldnt get after them to get a license plate # because of traffic coming up the street. I was even more pissed because I had the top down (and it was the first time this week I had the top down because of all this rain).

Whats up with this state?

Maybe Im taking it out of context, since it just happened and Im still really pissed off. But I always get the "stares" around town from other people, and get angry comments I just cant understand while the car is moving (or maybe its just the "Boomhauer-glish" they speak here in TX).

All I can think about is how its time to buy a gun. I was going to spend the money on some minor mods for my car, but I think a gun is the best mod for the car. Busting a few caps in someones a$$ is sure not the answer, but it will keep my sanity. I used to live in Phoenix, where guns were legal. Now Im in another gun-loving state, so its just a sign to get a gun. Any suggestions on a good one?

This is the 4th state Ive lived in, in my short 24 year life. Hawaii, Colorado, and Arizona had way better people. Sorry Texas, you can hate me. Its just what Ive experienced so far.

Any people in Hawaii thinking of coming to the "mainland" - DONT. I used to be so laid back, now I have to admit that Ive been corrupted by living here.

Safe driving and peace out. Watch out for POS trucks w/ rednecks in them.

People are JEALOUS!

That's all it is! They feel that because we have nice rides and they may not. . .that we are showing off!

I get the same looks sometimes but by then my Jersey attitude hits and I'm saying bye bye in VTEC!

What can you do. . .most folks are jerks! Good thing no "honkey piss" got in your S2000. . .

BTW, great color choice!

I'm guessin' that you get what you give. I'll give your post a top ten award for the most name calling in a single post. Consider this a clue.

I had my first similar experience (in the S2000, at least) today.

I came up behind a pick-up that was hugging the center line. Long straightaway. I pulled out to pass. He obviously decided he didn't want me to pass and floored it.

But he did offer me some kind of strange single finger salute when I briskly passed him, so he must have approved

I thought about returning the salute by decided life is just too short to get bent out of shape by folks like that and just kept on going...

First of all, you were wrong to assume they were angry or jealous. Having lived in the great country...err...I mean State of Texas my whole, rest assured that I know of what I speak. See, here in Texas, we do things a little different.

What happened to you is what we like to call "The Welcome" toss. Contained in the biodegradable cup thrown at you was the the sperm of a of this man's prized bull (On the open market, that specimen would fetch upwards of a $150!!)...but I digress. That was his, foreign to you, way of saying, "Welcome to Texas"!! You must of had out of state plates on for him to recognize you. Right?

Don't sweat it. He was just being friendly!!

I agree with Mark in that they were probably just welcoming you with a gift. I'm sure they noticed that you were new to the state and wanted to make sure you had a good dip cup.

I'd recommend an HK 45 USP Match.

In that case, you should bust a load in a biodegradable cup
and toss it on his forehead the next time you see this man
( just to say thanx for the welcome, i mean you're just
being friendly )

Yeah Texas sucks. I've been attacked twice while driving my Prelude.
