Completely worthless.

Besides the fact that that site has proven to be utter b.s. in the past, an S2000 successor that looks nothing like the previous, has more seats(cabriolet or not even convertible), and is completely toned down is not a successor so much as it is just a completely different car. The S2000 stayed true to the previous S cars, so I don't think Honda will even put an S badge on something that is completely different.

It'd be about as much of an S2k successor as that supposed FR GT from Acura is going to be the NSX successor.

That is pathetic. I actually scrolled all the way down the page looking for the "new" car. Honda must be loving all of this speculation about the future of this car. That entire article is a load of crap. If the new car were after the SLK market, how could it achieve that by adding two "seats"? Those "seats" are probably smaller and less accessible than the Lexus SC430...
Spartikus, the car pictured in that article is still a convertible. The term cabriolet is almost synonymous with convertible. The car pictured there is no longer a roadster, however.

I was reading another reporter's point of view and their take on it is not to look at the fact honda wants backseats in the next 'iteration' (if you could really call it that) but the fact Honda wants to move the car 'upscale' into a different segment.

I didn't pick the right words since I felt my point was made. You seem to have understood.
