Default More stupidity

Having known the pain of living without a S2K, this time around i'm being doubly careful about everything. So this is my question, will folding the top cover and putting it in the "trunk" cause creases and whatnot in it (the cover)?

Considering it comes from the factory folded and sitting in the trunk (in a plastic bag), I figure you're not doing anything to it that hasn't already been done. By the way, I don't think it should have any creases from being folded again the way it's folded from the factory.

CCBeyond,
It sounds like you are talking about the boot. I think the original post is about the top itself.

I don't know the answer to this. What is it? I have two convertibles and have been afraid to leave the tops down for any length of time.

People have posted on here that when they put up top on sunny/warm day the wrinkles come out.

I've been doing it for a year and a half...it doesn't do anything to the boot, just when you put it in the trunk be sure to just slightly fold the 2 ends of it under so that it is hardly being bent.....

And to be perfectly honest, most owners i know just leave it at home - it only comes out for meets and events, etc.....it is a bit of a pain in the a$$ (IMO)!! Unfortunately it does look good on, but if someone sees the car without it, they don't ever know the car well enough to know it's not on!

Cheers,
Lesley

Just be careful if you have things in the boot that might cause the cover to sit against the bolts that hold the trunk lid when you close it.
I did this and left a litlle mark but it could have been worse.
But like they said it comes folded just dont press it firmly or it'll likely crease.
