Default More vandalism

Went to grab a bite in the middle of the night, parked for less than 30 minutes on a street and came back to find two huge lines across the passenger side of the car. Granted it probably wasn't the safest place to park, but needless to say I am pretty pissed off right now. I'm not sure exactly how to assess the depth of the scratches, but you can see white in various places along the lines, which extend from the front fender all the way across the door. It's almost 5am right now here in Australia and I am so mad that I can't sleep, and where better to vent my anger, right?

I don't even understand why anyone would bother. Hell, at least try to break in and steal something. What does keying my car actually achieve other than to point out the amount of scum that exists in this world? Some people really are a waste of space.

I'm not really sure what to do about the damages right now, but it seems like it's going to cost a lot of time and money...

if its a light scratch try to use rubbing compound and polish
if it wont come out with rubbing compound and polish

take it to a body shop and see how much it is to fix,
so if its more expensive than your deductible than thats the way to go,

sorry to hear that!.

when i first got then s i got into a acident (my fault)
then the say i got it back i went to eat with friends and came out to a HUGE fender dent and bumper scratched up
stupied hit and run, but crap happens...
sorry to hear that!

It happened, it happens. Stinks that it happened but being pissed about it won't change the fact that it happened. Here in the states it is usually about $520 per panel to paint.
Good luck.

Don't worry. Karma's rough. Someone's probably going to key their face soon enough. I hope the repair works out!

A**holes are everywhere. Did you report it to the police/authorities? Any security camera video (or is this just a "crime drama" artifact?)
Not to hate, but without evidence you might e hosed. Look everywhere for corroborative evidence - people, places, things, security cameras from adjacent businesses..

Sorry to hear. When I bought my car back in 2002, someone rammed a shopping cart into my bumper and trunk within 2 weeks of owning it.

That sucks man, I was helping my friend at the body shop he works at yesterday and a vandalized car was brought in: every window was shattered, not one single scrape or dent on the outside. Someone must have taken a baseball bat to that poor car.

Same thing happened to me. Parked the S faaaaar away from everyone in a parking lot. When I come out from shopping 10 minutes later, someone made the effort of pushing a cart at least 200 yards to bash my bumper. And no, it was not windy that day.

I just got a 2 dings in my door repaired with a re-paint, and it cost me $350. Best of luck.
