Default Most NA power?

I seem to remember there being an S2K owner with an NA car with close to 300RWHP. It was like 29*. I was wondering what you have to do/can do to the car to get maximum hp while staying street legal. I did a search, but didnt see anything.

With a tune and all the bolt ons you are looking at roughly 230rwhp. Some guys are getting a bit more. Now there are some guys with stroker kits making 300rwhp or better.. For the price of a stroker kit you might as well go F/I

I would rather get HP from NA so its true S2K power instead of FI. And without the insurance boost.

Edit: I just searched around and DANG! Prices on stroker kits are insaine... Thanks for the info.

Yeah they are getting something like 330 but with the price it would cost you to get what they had, you could have a possible 450rwhp turbo s2k... Our cars are meant to be rev'd so not seeing full boost till like 4k rpms or so wouldnt be bad at all.

This is very true, but I just think, in the back of my mind, that the FI is faking power. Its still there, sure, but I dunno...

Not unless you go F/I.

If I were to get maximum hp staying n/a, I would just build a racecar. I would throw away the VTEC and use high lift, high duration camshafts engineered for power and high rpms. Without VTEC, you would have to be above 6k rpm's all the time so the engine will run it's best. These VTEC less high profile cams would have a higher lift and duration than the auxilery high lift profiles of the OEM cams.

If you haven't guessed yet, it won't be street legal. May as well go with a good single outlet exhaust, CAI, stand alone ECU, (AEM) headwork (mild port and polish, raise compression) and tuning. This should be good for close to 300 hp at the crank. Without VTEC, the valve train becomes lighter, thus the engine can rev higher, prolly close to 10,000 rpms.
