Motivation to getting another S2000
Hey guys. Its been awhile since I've visited this site.
As of December of last year, I lost my Suzuka Blue S2000.
Long story short, I had to give it back to the dealership because I quit my job.
I quit my job because I had no time for myself. Working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.
The money I made from my job was to pay off the S2000.
I then came to my senses after my Marines cousin came back to visit us.
He was the cousin that always admired his car. Through all the cleaning, racing, and just his love for his car.
When I saw him doing this, it gave me a slap to my face.
That was me those days. Cleaning my car, and admiring it.
What even gave me another slap on the face was when we went to the Tail of the Dragon.
The whole time we were there. I was just thinking to myself.
That could have been me too, driving my S around those curves with them.
After it came to getting another S2000 as my short term goal.
I was waiting for him to go back so that I can put my head into getting another S2000.
I joked around with him and told him, "Can you go back so that I can get another S2000?"
He then told me that he comes back in 8 months.
So I made him a deal.
I told him that before he comes back in 8 months I will buy and own another Suzuka Blue S2000.
If I do not own another S2000 by that time, he said he will buy himself an S2000 just so I could be jealous.
But, if I do own another S2000, he has to try and get a NSX.
So I take this as a lesson to be learned. I just learned the hard way.
But, I am asking for your help guys.
I may need motivation to keep myself up and keep that S2000 on my short term goal list.
I want to get back in the game!
Thanks for reading my Thread. All posts are welcome.

Well in order to be able to buy another S2K like the one you gave back, you need to find a job that will pay you enough to do so, without requiring so many hours of work! In short, you need a 40 hr./wk job. That should be your first goal. And I wish you good luck with this.

OP, good luck to you!
Hope you will find a job and then get another S.
One thing I learned is that it is more worthy when you appreciate it. Without appreciation, a Ferrai may be just a rolling house than a Ferrari built to be driven. (hope this example makes sense...)
Keep us posted how your short term goal is being fulfilled.

I was in a similar situation as you, had to sell my 2000 S several years ago because moving and changing jobs. I just found myself back in a 07 S and love it
