My car have a motor VIN F20C2-0300XXX with red paint.
It's an AP1 from europe, the VIN of origine have F20C2-1004XXX .
Anybody know about this type of number ?

 

Are these numbers on the same engine? Can you send photos?

VINs don't have that number pattern nor do they have lots of XXXs so I'm guessing they're part numbers.

F20C2 is the EU/UK AP1 engine. F20C1 is the US version. Probably something to do with local fuels and perhaps environmental restrictions.

It's an AP1 europe version from 2000 may 04
The engine number on the VIN plate is F20C2-1004XXX
The engine in the car have F20C2-0300XXX with red paint.
XXX it's personal, I don't send last numbers, sorry.
I have never seen this patern number: F20C2-0300XXX.

 

 

That's a factory replacement motor -- the original motor must have failed.
