Moving Threads.
Many threads have been moved recently to off topic, threads which clearly satisfy the criteria for the "car talk" room - to wit: "General discussions related to the S2000, it's ownership and enthusiasm for it. This is where all the good stuff happens." Why is this happening? Unfortunately, the moderator or moderators that are moving the threads seem to be basing their decision on personal interest in the topic rather than whether the topic met the stated criteria of the room. This raises the spector of bias and censorship which forsaged the decline in H-A.net. I would appreciate an explanation as to why the moderator(s) deem some threads off topic while others of identical or remarkably similar subject matter to be relevant. As I have said in a previous post regarding event planning, sending a thread to any other room aside from "car talk" is tantamount to killing it since most participants do not check the others on a regular basis. I am unaware of any administrative reason for such segregation. If this is a technical issue, such as memory or bandwidth, that's one thing, but if it is merely the caprecious preference of a few, it does not seem just. Thank you and I look forward to your informative response.
I think it was explained before. If too many new threads are posted, some threads really related to S2000 will never get to be seen as they are pushed to the back pages.
Making the posts for group meets/sales in a separate forum is a good idea. I understand that most people never visit those forums. But we have to start somewhere and cultivate this habbit. Otherwise if all of them are on the same forum, we have a big problem where most good topics will not seen at all, which I think is important to the S2000 community as opposed to group meets/parts topics where it only benefits a small group of individuals.

If these aren't "really related to S2000," I don't know what is. Furthermore, I thought the reason we maintained a database of threads was so that we could look to ones that have moved off the front page. I do this every day, much more often than I would look at other rooms.

Gee, I though Off Topic was for topics other than the S2000. I posted a topic called "The Intangibles" which is as much ABOUT the S2000 as any topic could be.
Is it that only topics relating to SELLING accesories or aftermarket parts get to be posted in Car Talk? I guess you have to keep the sponsors happy huh? Maybe you should have a special section just for people hawking things and the product reviews? If I see one more Mugen testamonial here I think I am going to puke.
When you start moving threads that are talking ENTIRELY about the S2000 (but not promoting some product) to Off Topic then something is wrong in my opinion.
Please move it back.
