Default moving your driver seat back and forth

I am 5.6 and I have to move the driver seat back and forth any time I get in or out the car. I wonder if you have to do the same and after a few years, will your seat track go bad? Does anyone have any of these experience?

Thanks,
Tim

I can't see how it would cause any problems. I'd be more concerned if we had power seats.

I wouldn't worry about it.

i'm 5' 5'' and I get in and out without moving the seats back and forth. It is kinda tricky to get in and out w/o messing up the side of the seat.

I'm 5'6" also and do not have to move the seat back and forth. I do like to drive with the seat back as far as I can. My driving position is to keep the arms unbent to the steering wheel.

My guess is he scoots the seat up once he is in the car to be closer to the wheel and pedals. When he exits the vehicle, he needs to scoot the seat back to get out with ease.
