Default MPG during track driving?

what kind of MPG would u expect if you VTEC (rpm 6-9k)ed for 20 min non-stop during a track session? is the MPG rating on the window sticker calculated with or without VTEC consumption?

I'm sure there are people who track regularly and can give real numbers but I bet you'd be spending more on tires and brake pads than gas.

For mpg ratings, I believe they shift at standard speeds(MPH). Probably way below vtec...

I can get about 1 hour of driving from a tank of gas. On Fridays at the track when it is just open lapping I can fill up the tank 6 times...

100%

However, if you factor in the gas for the tow vehicle driving the car too and from the track then no...

I got about 9mpg on my last track day. I went through and entire tank and had to buy a couple of gallons of race fuel to get me to the gas station.

I've calc'd it around 8mpg. Interesting, I was talking with a guy with a Z06 hotlapping at the same time, he reported about 8mpg from his fuel computer. So, both cars are burning the same amount of fuel around the track. If you look at it like that, he's making more power from the same amount of source energy (fuel), so the Z06 is more efficient on the track. It also says the S2000 can burn a lot of fuel for its given displacement.
