And more two-seat competition is coming. Mazda's next-generation Miata may be a far more serious sports car. And the Honda S2000, which is already nearly as fast as the 350Z and priced in the same ballpark, might get even faster. The rumored 2004 Honda S2200 (with a 2.2-liter engine) might have 250 hp or more. It might also come in a hardtop version, posing direct competition to the 350Z.
