MSRP?

I read a lot of threads by people who are getting cars for MSRP...what exactly does that mean? $32,740?
Fortunately I grew up in a very well to do California community (San Marino), my neighbors dad, owned the largest Toyota Dealer in California (any guesses starts with an "L"). His dad explained to me once, when I was 16, all about the car business. I remember his words each time I buy a car. The dealer makes money in MANY MANY ways:
1) Price of the car - dealer hold backs, allocations, service, etc.
2) Trade in Value - How much is your trade in really worth?
3) Cost of Money- What percent is your loan?
So unless you paid cash for the car...... MSRP is a very relative term.

Utah, you're ususally the one with the answers here....and very good ones too.
MY2001 MSRP = $32,300 for car plus $ 440 delivery fee. Thus $32,740. Taxes, license fees, loan fees, etc are extra.
