Default Mugen CAI pictures

Does anyone have pictures of the Mugen CAI? I'm looking for pictures to show how it looks in the enginebay and where it comes out in the front under the bumper. Please post any pictures on this thread. Thanks

Here's a pic of the original Mugen CAI (long snorkel). I think this is Greg Steven's car. I don't have a pic of the front bumper.
I haven't taken a good picture of mine, which is the shorter snorkel, but the inlet is not visible from the front grille anyway.

Hmm, I believe that picture is from Nick's car before his car went into SS2200 conversion.
Because there is no way possible Greg's car can be that clean and gleaming under the hood.
I hope I didn't offend you Greg, it is just a joke.

So the short snorkel opening is behind the front bumper? With this setup I guess it doesn't pressurize the intake like the older one did? Please educate me before I spend the money.

Hello All-

In testing Mugen found no HP difference betwwen the two intake. The earlier long version has been discontinued.

Please feel free to call us (262-593-2800) or email us at tech-staff@kingmotorsports.com if you have further questions.

Best Regards,

Scott

Scott @ King Motorsports, is it true that in order to install this mod in, you have to cut your hood? Can you please elaborate about this? Thank you.

ha ha...Randy! That may not be my car in the picture, but my engine bay is SPOTLESS!

I have a ton of pictures of Scott's and Nick's Mugen project cars...I even had a Photopoint album just for the CAI!

I will troll through my pictures tonight (among the 1,000's) and put them out somewhere for you guys.

Do you have to cut anything if you get the MG Racing CAI?
