Default Mugen ECU, Mugen header, intake: Best mods?

To those who have experienced the Mugen ECU: How is it in general? I drive my 2001 S2000 everyday, and am interested in overall performance (less degradation due to temperature, mid-range power, high-end power, driveability).

And considering header/intake/exhaust: Thoughts on how these mods compared to the ECU swap?

I'm thinking of one or more upgrades, but am not sure about the Mugen ECU and normal driving vs the other mods.

Any thoughts from you experts who have done the upgrades would be very helpful.

Thanks!

For every day driveability, I would go with the Mugen I/H/E well before the ECU. I have the Mugen header and ECU...and I have the HKS exhaust, as well. But the ECU is designed more for racing applications and isn't well suited for every day driving. And if you live in a place that is hot, it is even less of a good idea.

You can't go wrong with the additional torque provided by the header...and that's a nice combo with the exhaust, even a little more torque is found there. And of course, the weight savings are nice too. Give King Motorsports a call...they are the sole North American distributor for Mugen equipment. www.kingmotorsports.com ...

HTH!

I am sort of sick of comments saying hey! Instead of spending the same amount of I/H/E of Mugen Parts, just spend the same amount on a Comptech SC!

So, what your saying is you leave the exhaust and header stock when you get a Supercharger? Um, NO! So your statement makes NO SENSE, because even though you buy a Supercharger, you still have to buy a header and exhaust to get more horsepower, or maybe just to make your S2000 sound good.

Some people just want ALL MOTOR, maybe because it was built that way.....

Just my 2 cents

cough I did 270 on stock exhaust and header cough

What I`m saying is don`t waste your money just because it says Mugen. If you want to stay NA, put the money towards susp and brakes.

What does that prove, 270@wheels with stock components?

*cough* Like I said, if you want to add HP, you can get a H/E! *cough*

*Cough* Turbo with 320@wheels *Cough*
