for those of you who have ordered a mugen hard top i was wondering how long of a wait time you had on it.

 

is it the real mugen hard top?

 

I got mine used, BUT I was looking for it for one year and a half until I found it (best condition & price).

Speaking of hardtops, might someone have an idea as to what my never used '03 OEM top might be worth? I know that the top, stand and cover retail for $3.700, but never have I heard of anyone buying a "used" top.

i ordered mine a while ago used, but he still hasn't shipped out.

used tops sell all the time on this board. Without hardware you are looking somewhere in the $1500 to $1800 range. With hardware somewhere around $2000 to $2200 depending on color. Hard to sell with shipping, best to sell locally.

This is just for the top, if you have the cover and stand you can ask a little more, but most people don't care about those items. Being in CA you should have no problems selling either.

 

I got mine in 2 weeks from Islandmotorsports which got it from Kings. I got it less than a month ago.

 

When I was in the market for mine I spent a few weeks just calling around trying to locate one that was incoming or in stock because the next batch wasn't coming out for months, and the few that were already coming in were sold. I was looking at 8 months, so I bought mine used.

I didn't want to believe it, but King is basically the authority on everything Mugen in the US. Other vendors say they sell it, but they either get it grey market or they buy it from King Motorsports. I'm not saying anything against King (they were super nice) I was just looking for a better deal.......which doesn't exist with Mugen.
