Default Mugen Hardtop

I'm in love with the Mugen Hardtop; however, it's a bit pricey. Who makes the best fiberglass (don't need any fancy CF) replica mugen-style hardtop? How much do they go for? Obviously the authentic Mugen one will fit better as will an OEM hardtop, but do the replicas fit decently well?

I will be getting a C-Wings replica soon. I've heard good thing about them. $1200 on importfam.com but does not come with any hardware.

Very nice. How much is hardware? Like $500? Also do you need to get a window for it? How much would that cost?

Hardware is pretty expensive unfortunately. Around $1000. But since I work at a dealership I can get a big discount. You can get the window from many places. And that doesn't cost too much.

It adds up quickly. I believe a forum member who purchased a replica said he paid something like $2,650 when it was all said and done. I shelled out about $3,150 for my authentic mugen top after paint. Only about a $500 difference...... obviously costs will vary.

Just buy the Mugen. The hardware is 1300 quoted from HT Guy. I believe the Mugen can be had for 2800 from some places. The extra 200 would be worth it to me.

There HAS to be some way to rig it up and not spend so much on hardware. I believe someone here paid 50 bucks for stuff at Home Depot and got it to fit and stay on.

Thanks for the replys everyone. With all of the additional costs that the c-wings one requires, it seems like the authentic mugen one is the way to go. So what do you get for $2800? Does it come painted? With hardware? Rear Window?

you can get the hardtops for much less then $2800, just stick with the "i don't pay retail" mentality like me and you'll win.
