It drones quite a bit. The resonance around 3k-4k RPM is quite disturbing to some people.

spoon is ing loud!!! if you want to keep your hearing, don't get it. there's a sick "boominess" around 3500 to 4500 rpms. with the top down it's way too loud. with the top up, it's murder.

the loudest my invidia sounds, is like the spoon with the silencer on.

at the above mentioned rpms, you feel like someone has your head in a vice. it's sick. when you're at idle, things shake.

I know someone here that has a Spoon exhaust. He took me for a 10 minute spin in his car...and OMG!! Was if friggin loud. The top was down too...imagine how it would of been with the top up?! That droning noise made my head just vibrate all night after that.
Seriously...I was sick for the rest of the night. Loud and probably because of the droning noise...my ear's were probably shot so I felt nauseated. Truly a bad experience.
You want a head exploding loud exhaust? This is it for you then...

i guess it really is a perspective thing, I rode in Red Ohio Rocket's car with mugen header and spoon exhaust and I really didn't think it was bad. It had a very mean growl to it but it wasn't anywhere near as loud or as punishing as some peopel describe it. I don't know maybe it's just me.

Why not have great sound, hp, and a weight reduction all in one exhaust? How you ask? Go with an Amuse setup. It's expensive but if you want all 3 it can be well worth it.

Spugen is also a great low cost alternative to all the exhaust and they are also a board sponser.

I happen to like the subtle look of the Spoon exhaust.

i like the way the spoon looks too. you would never think a thing that small creates such a loud sound.
